Cleveland Neighborhood Progress is pleased to announce the hiring of Melinda Gigante as Senior Manager of CDC Advancement. Melinda will begin with our organization on August 19, 2019. In her role, she will serve as a thought partner and will work directly with Colleen Gilson, the Vice President of CDC Advancement. Melinda will assist in efforts for all CDC-related programs including grant-making, capacity building and organizational development.
Melinda has worked in the Cleveland community development industry for nearly a decade. She had been on staff with Downtown Cleveland Alliance since 2010 and most recently served as the Director of Flats Forward Inc.
A proud city resident, Melinda has an Urban Planning degree from Cleveland State University. She states, “It has been an honor to advocate for the stakeholders in the Flats and it has taught me how important and impactful neighborhood organizations and CDCs are to the city’s residents and stakeholders. I look forward to transitioning to a citywide focus with Neighborhood Progress and contributing to the vital work of supporting Cleveland’s community development system.”
Please join us in welcoming Melinda to the Neighborhood Progress team.
